Difference in Pages and
Categories
One of the most common issues with Site Builder clients involves the
difference between Pages and Categories.
Categories exist
for the purpose of adding products.
Pages exist for the purpose of adding text or information.
Here are some examples of Pages:
- Contact Us
- About Me
- Order Information
- Favorite Links
- Guestbook
- Recipes
- Plugboard
You can see by viewing these page titles that they will
contain no products, but information only.
Here are some examples of Categories:
- Candles
- Home Decor
- Furniture
- Jewelry
- Cookie Jars
In the Site Builder, Categories such as these are added so that products can
then be added to the categories. You can also add a Category, then a
Sub-Category, and then add the products.
Categories are for Selling Products.
Pages are for Giving Information.
