Add Images On The Fly ~ Make the Penney Layne Site Builder WORK for YOU
I see many clients doing things the hard way and that is not the intent of the Penney Layne DIY Site Builder. We want things to be easy!
Here are some tips for making the DIY Site Builder work for you!
Let's say you want to add a new category or a new page. Okay, GREAT! You want to have a button for the page or the category. Common Mistake is that clients go to images, upload the image, get the code, go back to categories or pages, click add, and hand code it in.
What a bunch of work! That is not the way to do it!
In this instance, let's say you want to add a category. Go to category, add. You see the category name box, and parent category below that. Then you see the text:
"If you want a button link for this category, enter the image URL below". That is what we want to do. So......
Next to Nav Image you would click on the "upload" link; then click "browse" to find an image (the category button) on your computer, and click "load image." You will then be given an opportunity to "add to form" which then takes the specified image and not only uploads it into images automatically, but also inserts the image into the category box so you don't HAVE TO! Builder is NOW working for YOU!
This works for categories, products pages, and more. Only holdback is if your image exceeds 100kb; then you'll need to reroute using this information.
